Lucy and family visit Legoland

Updated: Jul 17, 2022

Legoland, Windsor

"Lucy was diagnosed with neuroblastoma stage 4 cancer in May 2020. We have spent over a year having chemo, surgery, stem cell transplant, radiotherapy and immunotherapy. Lucy was responding well to her treatment; in fact, she was disease free in April this year. But unfortunately, half way through immunotherapy Lucy relapsed. The consultant says this gives her less than 5% chance of survival now, and if further treatment doesn’t work, she has only got a few months left with us. This devastated the whole family.

When we were introduced to Alfie’s wish we explained that we are making as many memories as we can now. Alfie’s Wish offered the whole family a trip to LEGOLAND and a night in Lego Castle. Lucy is a princess so staying in a castle was the best thing ever.

These type of trips doesn't make the situation go away but it certainly helps our family forget just for a bit, and be a normal family for a while. We can't thank Alfie's wish enough we all had an amazing time"
